Naga Eight. A dragon reborn

Yet our story is long,
and our pedigree deep

Naga Eight occupies 500sqm of land within four hectares of lush tropical gardens, located in the prime area of Sanur along Jl. Danau Tamblingan. The name Naga Eight unifies both Balinese and Chinese beliefs and is on the one hand inspired by the local residents’ belief that the area is governed by a spiritual, mythical dragon, and on the other by the prosperity and wealth of the number eight.

This grand old dame was born in the late 1970s as a restaurant operated by a leading hotel brand, then closed in 2013. It lay empty and deserted for eight years – a sleeping dragon waiting to be reawakened.

Our management team saw the opportunity and restored the restaurant to its former glory, adding subtle accents to its architectural soul that reimagined the restaurant’s position in Bali’s culinary narrative.

In short, we kept the old, and built on the new.

With indoor seating available for ninety people, and an outdoor garden that sets a tropical scene, we believe Naga Eight is today the perfect setting in which to enjoy classic Cantonese food with friends or family.
