Naga Eight Brings Chinese Tea Traditions to The Cantonese Table

SANUR, BALI – August 24, 2026 – Naga Eight Restaurant has introduced The Art of Chinese Tea, a curated selection of traditional teas sourced in China and chosen to complement the Cantonese menu. Served daily in the restaurant’s tropical garden pavilion, the collection brings the time honored ritual of Chinese tea drinking to the table, inviting guests to experience tea as an integral part of the meal. Hand-selected in China during a culinary sourcing trip by Naga Eight’s co-founder and chef patron, the exquisite menu features three distinct flavour profiles: Dried Chrysanthemum, Green Tangerine Pu-Er, and Ancient Tree Black Tea, designed to guide guests from light and refreshing sips to rich and robust finishes.

The culinary magic lies in the pairing. Traditionally poured throughout a Cantonese meal, Chinese tea acts as a gentle palate cleanser between courses, allowing diners to fully appreciate the unique flavours of each dish.

Dried Chrysanthemum: This light and floral tea offers a delicate, honey-like sweetness with a clean finish, providing a refreshing balance alongside seafood, steamed dim sum, and wok-cooked favourites.

Green Tangerine Pu-Er: For a more complex cup, this tea merges the bright citrus aroma of young tangerine peel with the deep, earthy character of aged Pu-Er.

Ancient Tree Black Tea: This full-bodied brew melts into rich layers of malt, chocolate, and honey. Its robust profile is the ideal companion to cut through the savory richness of Naga Eight’s signature roasted duck.

“Tea is so much more than a beverage; it is the heartbeat of the Cantonese dining table, said Nanda Putra, Marketing Communications at Naga Eight Restaurant. “With The Art of Chinese Tea, we are inviting our guests to step away from the rush of daily life. By sourcing these incredible teas from renowned regions across China, we want diners to explore their unique characters and discover how a freshly brewed pot beautifully elevates the flavors of a shared meal.

The Art of Chinese Tea experience starts from IDR 65,000++ per pot.
